These are universal machining centers, designed for extrusion or bar (aluminum, composite, steel, titanium), that are customized according to customers’ requirements – four or five axes, two or three rotary tables, single or twin spindles.
The HHV handles uncut bars and extrusions of unlimited length, and machines multiple parts from the same block. When you combine this with a tool changing time of eight seconds and optional automatic in- and outfeed, you end up with unmatched efficiency, in terms of both time and raw materials. The machining time per part is approximately 50 % less than standard three- and four-axis machining, with raw material savings of typically 30 % compared to conventional machining. It also delivers over 95 % uptime.
