Brand-new facilities for machine demonstrations, run time validations and operator training.
After a delay due to the pandemic, we are all looking forward to the Grand Opening of our new North American Headquarters in Wichita, Kansas in a few months. Wichita was chosen by Modig partially due to its central location in the United States that is accessed easily by car or air travel. It is conveniently located in Old Town, the heart of the “Air Capital of the World”. This facility will showcase the newest machines in our portfolio and has been built around the concept of a complete customer satisfaction experience. Designed for training events, MODIG can provide customers the latest in programming methodology, operator training, machine maintenance, and repair. Machine demonstrations and run time validations can also be performed in the new facility, which are integral parts of our run time guarantees. The MODIG US headquarters will also stock key spare parts that are in addition to our distributor’s parts inventory.
Air Capital of the World
The greater Wichita region has pioneered aviation and manufacturing since 1916. The name “Air Capital of the World” was first used in the late 1920’s and since then, it quickly became a nickname to refer to Wichita. Flight is in the heritage of the region. Some of the world’s largest aviation companies are in located in this area designing and building parts, sections, and entire aircraft. They work with more than 450 world-class suppliers to accomplish this. Over 35% of all General Aviation Planes built in the United States, come from Kansas (reference www.aircapitaloftheworld.com). Modig Machine Tool has delivered numerous machines to the aviation suppliers since the 1990’s, including some located in Wichita, and is the preferred Machine supplier for several of them.
