MODIG Machine Tool is attending Inspiration through Innovation 2020, Seco Tool’s virtual Aerospace Manufacturing Event, October 7-8.
Demonstration: Join our session on Wednesday October 7th
Technical spotlight: Reduced cycle time/cost for machining large aluminum aircraft structural components. Significant cycle time reductions when machining a typical single aisle wing rib. Using vacuum plate work holding and a combination of Seco custom solid carbide and standard cutting tools, the high-quality rib is fully machined in one operation from solid aircraft grade aluminum billet. Typical cycle time reductions of 50% can be achieved: From 1 hour down to 30 minutes! Collaborative partner technologies: Modig Machine Tool Sweden – RigiMill MT, Siemens NX, Renishaw probing, ICam verification/optimisation, Seco Tools
